The Story of Kiritopi

Kiritopi began with a simple childhood love—milk toffee. Growing up in Sri Lanka, I would spend my school lunch money on this creamy, caramel delight. It wasn’t just a sweet; it was pure joy wrapped in every bite.

Years later, I asked one of my aunties for her recipe, and with my grandmother by my side, I tried making it for the first time. The first batch didn’t turn out as I hoped, but my grandmother’s calm smile and gentle encouragement gave me the courage to try again. The second batch? Perfect. That moment sparked a tradition. Soon, milk toffee became the most requested treat at family gatherings, celebrations,

and even road trips.

When I moved to Australia, I carried that tradition with me. Sharing milk toffee here brought the same warmth and joy I felt back home. It reminded me how food has a beautiful way of connecting people, no matter where in the world they are.

That’s how Kiritopi was born. It’s more than just a sweet—it’s my story, my heritage, and my way of spreading love through something simple yet unforgettable. Every piece is handmade with the same care and heart as that very first perfect batch.
